Do you offer home visits?
Do I need a referral from my GP?
If you would like to be able to claim a portion of the session fees through Medicare, you will need a referral from your GP. Please bring a copy of your referral letter, and any other relevant reports or letters from other medical or health professionals to your first appointment.
If you would like to attend as a private client, you do not need a referral. Most Private Health Funds provide rebates for psychological services depending on your level of cover. To find out if you are eligible, contact your health fund.
What do I do when I arrive for my first appointment?
At the time of your appointment, your psychologist will greet you at the door to the room. If you arrive early for your appointment, you are welcome to wait in the building foyer, grab a coffee at a local cafe, or explore Hyde Park across the road.
During your first appointment, your psychologist will:
Conduct a thorough assessment in order to develop a good understanding of the problem, your background and current circumstances,
Answer any questions that you may have about your problem, treatment or the general process, and
Provide you with a treatment plan and get you started with your treatment.
Yes! We do offer online sessions through Zoom. All you need is a computer or phone with a microphone and camera. If you would like to book in an online session, please contact us and we will give you more information about how this works.
